![]() Three years later, after a fairly successful Kickstarter campaign and multiple alpha releases, they finally finished their work on the game known as “ Hover: Revolt of Gamers.” It definitely changes the sound of the cellos in the song.Three years ago, an independent French game development studio called Midgar Studio, headlined by three ambitious game developers who call themselves “Fusty Game,” wanted to create a new kind of open world adventure title that combined the style and themes of Jet Set Radio, the movement of Mirror’s Edge and the presentation of Sci-Fi movies such as the 5 th Element, all wrapped up into a neat and colorful package that can be enjoyed either solo or online with friends. Something else that didn't translate over that great is - the game data has 3 cello sections which use a full string patch each, so to make it more "realistic," I have it in 3 divisi parts. That's why it might sound like it comes on a little strong in the beginning - just the game file's funky volume data. ![]() I tried not to alter the volume data much (but for some instruments like the timpani, it had to be done). I wanted to change as little as possible, only really fix what was broken because the change. Then took that data, ran it through my orchestral software, and now have a 100% faithful reproduction of the FF7 Main Theme, directly from the soundtrack data.Ī few things sound off, since it was directly from the game's data. I took the ripped soundtrack data from FF7, ran it through my audio equipment, and was able to convert it into a score for full orchestra.
